Organisation

The organizational set up of Central Bureau of Health Intelligence under Directorate General of Health Services is an under:

  • CBHI headed by a SAG Level officer from Central Health Service (CHS) and supported by 1SAG, 1 JAG and 2 JTS level officers from ISS along with 02 SSO and 04 JSO & Admn. Staff. It has three units viz.
    (i) Training, Research and Co-ordination.
    (ii) Information & Evaluation.
    (iiI) Administration.
  • Six Field Survey Units (FSUs) of CBHI are located in different Regional Offices of Health and Family Welfare (RoHFW) of Government of India (GoI) at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Lucknow & Patna. Each FSU is led by a Deputy Director level officer of ISS and supported by 02 to 04 JSOs from SSS cadre along with Admn staff. It functions under the overall supervision of Sr. Regional Director of RoH&FW.
  • The details of the training Centres of CBHI which conducts various in-service training programme along with six (06) FSUs are as under:
    (i) RHSTC, Kharar, (Mohali), Chandigarh.
    (ii) Medical Record Department & Training Centres (MRD&TC) Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.
    (iiI) Medical Record Department & Training Centres (MRD&TC), Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi.
    (iv) Medical Record Department & Training Centres (MRD&TC), JIPMER, Puducherry.
    (V) Central Medical Record Department & Training Centres (CMRD & TC), RIMS, Ranchi (on Pilot basis).
    (vi) Trainings conducted at Field Survey Unit (FSU) of six (06) RoHFW i.e, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Patna & Lucknow.
